When you hold this 100% USA made straight grain hickory handle you will notice something different from competing throwing hawk handles. Our handles are hand selected from Appalachian hickory and are guaranteed against defects. Not only are they made from the finest wood available for throwing but they are all covered in a durable wax coat finish to ensure they last a long time.
We've had several bot scout troops go through entire scout camporee's worth of scouts and leaders throwing without a single broken handle. In fact, here is the excerpt from Jeff of Concord District Winter Camporee, "They survived the Concord District Winter Camporee with out a single broken handle. One Hundred and thirty Scouts and quite a few leaders threw the tomahawks. Many throws were quite interesting."
That isn't to say you won't break and handle, eventually handles will break but we're just saying, get our handles, cuz they will last longer! We've come a long way to improving the inevitable broken handle that is so common in this sport.
